Division 5 and Bandimere Speedway crown the 2008 Division 5 ET Champions

The 2008 NHRA Division 5 E.T. Finals promised excitement, dissapointment, and of course, great bracket racing.  Local racers Phil Bish in Pro E.T., and Cody Moser in High School impressed the divison by both making the Final Round in their respective classes.  and many Bandimere Racers had a great showing for the home track, but it was Pueblo Motorsports Park out of Pueblo, Colorado that did the most damage as a team.  Pueblo finished with a total of 60 round wins to beat a second place Bandimere Speedway team at 50 total round wins.  In Super Pro, Jeff Solomon out of Pleasant Hill, MO clocked a perfect .000 reaction time in the final to beat out the last Pueblo racer left, Darrell Contreras.  In Pro ET Andy Schmall racing for Brainerd International Raceway, defended his 2007 Division 5 championship, by beating a hard charging Phil Bish in the final.  Both racers had identical .018 reaction times, Bish breaking out by .004 of a second to hand the win to Schmall.  In Sportsman, Tim Lewondowski of St. Paul, MN went .069 off the tree and got the win as Jeff Scheinost of Scottsbulff, NE red lit in final.  In Pro Bike, Ton Klemme of Davenport, IA had a stellar reaction time of .013 to defeat the .027 light of Alex Barmettler.  Thanks to all racers who made the trip to Bandimere Speedway to race for their home track, and congratulations to PMP for their success, we will see you next year in Topeka.
