The US Performance Street Car Shootout features an event for all-street cars to race the quarter-mile before summer is over, on Sunday, August 29th.
Classes include Street Eliminator, Street Bike Eliminator, and Street Sport Compact Eliminator.
Additionally, the Sunoco King Street Series will run one of the final points events of the year. This series is open to street cars with exhaust, license plates, paint, and street appearing. See the Sunoco King Street Series event page for compete rules and information. All racers in the class must run 12.75 or quicker. Registration is required to earn points, but not to compete.
The Fastlane Stick Shift Series will be bangin' gears in this unique class just for manually shifted, clutch-leaving cars.
The U.S.P. Heads-Up classes will run as well. In addition to Ultimate Street, Limited Street, Sport Compact, and Pro Sport Compact, the new classes creating so much buzz are 10.5 Chaos and True Street. Check out http://www.uspracing.com/ for complete rules, entry and information.
10.5 CHAOS will prove to be a wheels-up, anything goes racing experience.
TRUE STREET does not feature eliminations, but does award the quickest 'true street' cars at the event. Racers will make a 15+ mile cruise prior to racing. Upon the return from the cruise, racers will wait to cool in the staging lanes prior to running. Not tuning or hood-opening is allowed prior to running. Racers will make 3 back-to-back-to-back runs, with all runs averages. Awards for quickest average, plus quickest 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13-second averages.
